Manufacturing plant for medicinal plant extracts

Project Aim

Building the most innovative and sustainable factory in the medicinal plant extracts sector based on upcycling. The plant will contribute significantly to creating quality employment and helping fight the demographic challenges of depopulation, which is critical in this area of Spain.

About

By intervening in areas throughout the supply chain that under-utilise valuable plant material, this raw material - rich in bioactive compounds - can be upcycled into value-added ingredients and extracts that improve the health and wellness of consumers. With strategies like these based on a circular bioeconomy, a more innovative and sustainable production system than is traditionally seen in the agri-food industry can be created.
