For the second year running, a French student team has won prizes of 5,000 euros and one-year complimentary BIC membership. Team Biosurfers was chosen by the expert judging panel and will receive their prize at the BIC Networking Event on 2 October.

Along with 12 other associations, BIC has signed a Joint Statement recommending the European Commission adopt a consistent approach in carbon modeling. This would provide a clear understanding of the actual difference in CO2 footprints between biomass-derived and fossil-based products at each life cycle stage.
