EUBA letter to EU Commissioners ahead of the new Bioeconomy Strategy

The European Bioeconomy Alliance (EUBA) has sent letters to EU Commissioners ahead of the publishing of the EU's new Bioeconomy Strategy.

 

EUBA letter to EU Commissioners on Bioeconomy Strategy

In the letter, EUBA urges the Commission to resist discriminating against certain uses of biomass and to move beyond outdated narratives such as the ‘food vs fuel’ debate.

The EU Commissioners who received the letters are: 

  • Christophe Hansen - Agriculture and Food
  • Wopke Hoekstra - Climate, Net Zero and Clean Growth
  • Jessika Roswall - Environment, Water Resilience and a Competitive Circular Economy
  • Stéphane Séjourné - Prosperity and Industrial Strategy
  • Ekaterina Zaharieva - Startups, Research and Innovation
